The premise

A small town family is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other.

When a mysterious, deadly mist descends on a small Maine town, its residents find themselves trapped in scattered locations with no way out and no way to trust one another. A family already fractured by a devastating crime must navigate both the horrors lurking in the fog and the increasingly volatile behavior of the people around them. This TV adaptation expands the world of Stephen King's source material, leaning hard into the psychological toll of isolation and fear. What emerges from the mist may be the least of their worries.
