The premise

Trapped inside a fortified home owned by a mysterious couple, a young boy quickly learns the true nature of the homicidal inhabitants, and secret creatures hidden deep within the walls.

Horror Vault's take

When a desperate young boy breaks into a seemingly ordinary house hoping to help his struggling family, he stumbles into a nightmare he may never escape. The affluent couple who own the property are far from normal, and the horrors lurking beneath their roof go deeper — literally — than anyone could have imagined. Director Wes Craven wraps savage social commentary inside a darkly comic funhouse of traps, secrets, and shocks. Expect a wild, unpredictable ride that skewers class inequality with gleeful, bloody abandon.
