Deep in the forests of southern California, three couples set out for a summer camping trip with no idea they are being watched. A hulking, disfigured figure lurks among the trees, and one by one the campers begin to disappear. Equal parts backwoods stalker film and wilderness survival thriller, The Prey delivers old-school slasher tension rooted firmly in the early-80s golden era of the genre. Nature itself feels threatening as the body count quietly mounts.
