The premise
A murderous and decrepit old woman resides on a California walnut farm with her family. On a whim, a traveler named Jodie makes a brief side trip to the farm, where he meets and falls in love with Melissa, the proverbial farmer's daughter. Jodie and Melissa grow closer as Melissa begins to reveal the strange, dark history of her family.

A restless young drifter pulls off the highway and onto a sun-bleached California walnut farm, expecting nothing more than a brief detour — instead he finds himself drawn into a haunting romance with the farmer's daughter, Melissa. As their bond deepens, she begins peeling back the layers of a family history shrouded in violence, old-world curses, and whispered sins. Something deeply wrong lurks on that property, and the longer Jodie lingers, the harder it becomes to leave. This low-budget early-seventies chiller earns its cult status through creeping unease rather than spectacle.
