The premise
A young woman quits her teaching job to become a private tutor and governess for two wealthy young kids, but soon starts to suspect there’s more to their house than meets the eye.

When a young woman leaves her teaching career to become a live-in governess for two enigmatic children at a sprawling, remote estate, she quickly senses that something deeply wrong lurks within its walls. Strange occurrences and the children's disturbing behavior push her to question whether the house holds genuine supernatural secrets — or whether her own mind is fracturing under the pressure. Loosely inspired by Henry James's classic novella, The Turning leans into gothic unease and psychological ambiguity, keeping viewers guessing until the very end.
