The premise
Anna returns home after spending time in a psychiatric facility following her mother's tragic death and discovers that her mother's former nurse, Rachel, has moved into their house and become engaged to her father. Soon after she learns this shocking news, Anna is visited by her mother's ghost, who warns her that Rachel has evil intentions.

After a stay in a psychiatric facility, teenage Anna returns home to find her father engaged to Rachel — the woman who had been caring for her late mother. Strange visions begin to haunt Anna almost immediately, blurring the line between recovery and revelation. As her suspicions about Rachel grow darker and more urgent, Anna must question what is real, what is memory, and who she can trust. This American remake of the Korean film A Tale of Two Sisters delivers a slow-burn tale of domestic unease with a gothic undertow.
