Picking up where its predecessor left off, this Lovecraft-inspired sequel drags Randolph Carter and his companions back into the orbit of a creature so ancient and malevolent that human language cannot contain it. College students who should have known better find themselves hunted once more as the nameless horror reasserts its terrible will. With a cast that punches above the material's weight, the film leans into pulpy creature-feature energy while keeping one foot in cosmic dread. Fans of low-budget 90s horror and H.P. Lovecraft adaptations will find plenty to sink their teeth into.
