Set in early-1990s Madrid, Veronica follows a teenage girl who takes on a near-parental role caring for her younger siblings while their mother works long nights. After participating in an Ouija session during a solar eclipse at school, she begins to sense that something deeply malevolent has followed her home. What starts as uneasy feelings quickly escalates into a waking nightmare that threatens the entire family. Inspired by a real case from the files of the Madrid police, the film leans into its gritty period setting to deliver a suffocating sense of dread.
