The premise
Lizzy is a tough, resourceful frontierswoman settling a remote stretch of land on the 19th-century American frontier. Isolated from civilization in a desolate wilderness where the wind never stops howling, she begins to sense a sinister presence that seems to be borne of the land itself, and when a newlywed couple arrive at a nearby homestead, their presence amplifies Lizzy's fears, setting into motion a shocking chain of events.

On the unforgiving 19th-century American frontier, frontierswoman Lizzy endures a relentless, howling wilderness that seems to harbor something malevolent within it. As paranoia takes root and her grip on reality wavers, the arrival of a neighboring couple brings little comfort — and possibly something far worse. The Wind is a slow-burn portrait of psychological disintegration set against a brutally desolate landscape, where the line between natural and supernatural terror is deliberately, masterfully blurred.
