The premise
A duo of Edgar Allan Poe adaptations about a greedy wife's attempt to embezzle her dying husband's fortune, and a sleazy reporter's adoption of a strange black cat.

Two horror masters join forces to deliver a pair of Edgar Allan Poe adaptations in this chilling anthology film. The first story follows a scheming woman whose greed leads her into dangerously supernatural territory, while the second centres on a morally bankrupt photographer whose life unravels after a sinister black cat enters the picture. Both segments drip with Poe's signature atmosphere of dread and psychological torment, updated to a contemporary setting. Fans of classic literary horror will find much to savour in this dark double bill.
