When a mild-mannered butcher and his theatrical twin sister flee a post-Brexit Britain that has made them feel unwelcome, they travel to a remote Australian town hoping to track down the birth mother they never knew. The locals seem refreshingly open-armed — a stark contrast to the hostility they left behind — but something deeply wrong lurks beneath the surface of this outback community. What begins as a fish-out-of-water road trip darkens considerably once the twins start asking too many questions. Two Heads Creek serves its social satire with a generous side of gore and jet-black humour.
