The premise
The daughter of a dead magician who accidentally killed his wife, her mother, while performing a guillotine trick must spend the night in his house in order to collect her inheritance. Is the house haunted or is it all magic?

When a celebrated but ill-fated magician dies, his estranged daughter discovers she must spend a night alone in his sprawling mansion to claim her inheritance. The old house holds dark echoes of a tragic guillotine act that claimed her mother's life, and she soon finds herself questioning what is supernatural and what might be sleight of hand. A wry reporter latches onto her story, adding a dash of romance to the mounting dread. Part old-dark-house mystery and part Gothic chiller, the film keeps audiences guessing whether the terrors are real or merely the final trick of a showman.
