Written and directed with a breezy, comic touch, Vamps trades scares for laughs as its fanged heroines grapple with what they're willing to give up for love. It's a warm-blooded romantic comedy wrapped in a very cold-blooded premise, boasting a game ensemble cast clearly in on the joke.
