The premise
An American village is visited by some unknown life form which leaves the women of the village pregnant. Nine months later, the babies are born, and they all look normal, but it doesn't take the "parents" long to realize that the kids are not human or humane.

When every woman in a quiet American town inexplicably falls unconscious at the same moment, the community is left shaken — and soon, shockingly pregnant. The children born from this event are outwardly unremarkable, but something deeply wrong lurks behind their eyes. As the kids grow at an alarming rate, the townspeople begin to suspect these children are not of this world and may not have humanity's best interests at heart. John Carpenter's remake of the 1960 British classic trades village-green unease for small-town American dread.
