The premise
After the death of a patriarch, a family must try to continue on with a disturbing, ritualistic tradition.
Horror Vault's take
When the head of a struggling Mexico City family suddenly dies, the burden of maintaining a dark and deeply secretive ritual falls to those left behind. The children must navigate grief, dysfunction, and dangerous obligation while the outside world edges ever closer to their hidden truth. This Mexican slow-burn horror trades cheap scares for an oppressive sense of dread rooted in family loyalty taken to its most disturbing extreme. Raw and unflinching, it's a portrait of how inherited darkness can bind — and break — those born into it.
