The premise

When a vacationing family is brutally slaughtered in rural France, a hulking local man becomes the prime suspect — and the defense attorney fighting for him starts to wonder if the law is equipped to handle what he truly is. Blending courtroom drama with creature-feature dread, Wer grounds its werewolf mythology in forensic realism and medical science rather than folklore. As the investigation deepens, the line between client and monster becomes terrifyingly blurred.
