When a recently widowed mother relocates her two daughters to a remote Pennsylvania property, they have no idea the land harbors a century-old tragedy. A catastrophic 1913 mine collapse left dozens of children entombed beneath the earth — and whatever crawled out of that darkness is still hungry. The Tunney family soon discovers that the mountains surrounding their new home hold something ancient and merciless. Small-town secrets prove far more dangerous than grief.
