The premise
A mad scientist unleashes his master plan: to transform himself into a mutated walking catfish, and gain revenge on those who have spurned him. His plans go wrong, and he becomes tempted to kidnap a nubile young woman to similarly transform her so that he can breed.

Deep in the Florida swamps, a scorned scientist pursues a delirious vision of self-reinvention — one that involves radioactivity, mutation, and a very unfortunate relationship with catfish. What begins as a revenge fantasy spirals into something stranger and more desperate as the line between man and monster dissolves entirely. Low-budget and unapologetically odd, Zaat is a regional cult artifact that commits fully to its outrageous premise. Fans of drive-in creature features will find plenty to savour in its swampy, sun-baked atmosphere.
