The premise

A month after the events of 30 Days of Night (2007), prison nurse Sara Maguire is attacked by a vampire during a prisoner transfer and begins to turn, while her ex-cop brother Nick hunts for her, encountering escaped vampire hunter George Fowler along the way.

Set in the raw, blood-soaked weeks following the Barrow massacre, this miniseries plunges a prison nurse into a nightmare when a vampire encounter leaves her racing against a transformation she may not be able to stop. Her estranged ex-cop brother tears through a dangerous urban underworld searching for her, crossing paths with a hardened vampire hunter who has his own desperate agenda. The series expands the 30 Days of Night mythology beyond the Alaskan tundra into grim, street-level terror.
