The premise
The vampire Angel, cursed with a soul, moves to Los Angeles and aids people with supernatural-related problems while questing for his own redemption. A spin-off from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

A vampire burdened by centuries of guilt trades the small-town hellmouth for the sprawling shadows of Los Angeles, where he opens a detective agency that tackles the supernatural cases no mortal investigator would touch. Equal parts noir thriller and urban fantasy, the series probes whether a monster can earn back his humanity one selfless act at a time. A rich ensemble of demons, ex-Watchers, and unlikely allies grow around him as the threats escalate from street-level hauntings to vast, systemic evil. Darker and more serialised than its parent show, it rewards patient viewers with layered mythology and genuine emotional stakes.
