The premise
A story based on real-life serial killer Dennis L. Rader, who systematically tortured and killed his victims for over two decades and evaded the police for over 30 years, all while leading a seemingly normal life as a husband, father, security officer and church president.

Spanning decades, this dramatization plunges into the terrifying mind of one of America's most notorious serial killers — a man whose neighbors, congregation, and family never suspected the monster hiding in plain sight. Kane Hodder brings a chilling physicality to the role of a killer who bound, tortured, and murdered while maintaining every outward appearance of a respectable life. The film lingers uncomfortably on the methodical, calculated nature of the crimes rather than offering easy answers or catharsis. It is an unflinching portrait of how ordinary social roles can mask extraordinary evil.
