The premise
When John is released from a psychiatric center where he has been hospitalized for a long time, he decides to move into the house of his dead mother, whose inheritance is in dispute.
Horror Vault's take
Freshly released from a psychiatric institution, a young man returns to claim what he believes is rightfully his — his late mother's estate — only to find those closest to him are not what they seem. Bell from Hell is a slow-burning Spanish psychological thriller that blurs the line between genuine madness and calculated malice, keeping viewers guessing whose grip on reality to trust. The film carries a distinctly dark European sensibility, building unease through character and atmosphere rather than outright spectacle.
