The premise
A lovelorn paramedic rescues a woman left for dead after a deadly assault. When she refuses to go to the hospital, he takes her in, nurses her back to health and soon falls in love with her. Before long the mysterious woman suffers withdrawal symptoms, leaving the paramedic to believe his newfound love is a drug addict. Coming home to find a blood-drained corpse on his floor, he learns she does indeed have an addiction problem but it's not to drugs...

A down-on-his-luck paramedic thinks he's finally found love when he takes in a mysterious, badly wounded woman he discovers on his night shift. As she grows stronger under his care, disturbing signs emerge that his new girlfriend's appetite goes well beyond the ordinary. Equal parts awkward romance and darkly comic horror, Bitten plays the vampire myth as a twisted love-story gone catastrophically wrong. Fans of Jason Mewes will find him leaning into his slacker charm as a man whose devotion blinds him to increasingly undeniable red flags.
