The premise
The execution was scheduled and the last meal consumed. The coolness of the poisons entering the blood system slowed the heart rate and sent him on the way to Judgement. He had paid for his crime with years on Death Row waiting for this moment and now he would pay for them again as the judgment continued..

A condemned man takes his final breath on death row, but the sentence doesn't end with the lethal injection — what follows may be a far more harrowing reckoning than any earthly justice system could deliver. Box traps its protagonist in a liminal space between death and whatever lies beyond, forcing him to confront the weight of his actions in ways the prison walls never could. Bleak and introspective, the film uses its minimal setting to burrow deep into questions of guilt, punishment, and the nature of judgment itself.
