The premise
Cocky young attorney Michael Gray finds himself framed for murder when an inmate he is defending violently kills himself during their interview at South River State Penitentiary. Now locked in the same nightmarish Cell 213 where his client died, he soon realizes that unnatural forces are behind a string of inmate suicides, making matters of guilt and innocence not as cut and dry as they seem.

A sharp-suited defense attorney ends up on the wrong side of prison bars after a client's shocking death during a routine interview. Trapped inside the infamous Cell 213, he begins to sense that something far beyond human cruelty is responsible for the penitentiary's grim history of inmate suicides. The walls close in — literally and figuratively — as the line between legal guilt and something more ancient and unforgiving starts to blur. What began as a case to win becomes a desperate fight to survive with his sanity intact.
