Deep in the Nebraska heartland, a young couple stumble into a seemingly deserted small town where something has gone terribly wrong — and where the only residents left are children. Ruled by a chillingly charismatic young preacher, the town's kids follow a dark, ancient power lurking within the surrounding cornfields. Based on Stephen King's short story, this 1984 adaptation taps into the primal fear of innocence twisted beyond recognition. Getting out alive will require surviving both the fanatical followers and whatever hungry force commands them.
