The premise
A traveling couple end up in an abandoned Nebraska town inhabited by a cult of murderous children who worship a demon that lives in the local cornfields.

When a couple's road trip takes a wrong turn into a desolate Nebraska town, they discover that something has gone terribly wrong — the children are in charge, and they answer to something far worse than any human authority. Bound by fanatical devotion to a sinister entity lurking in the endless cornfields, these kids are anything but innocent. This TV movie adaptation of Stephen King's classic short story strips the premise back to its rural, ritualistic roots, delivering a tense game of cat and mouse across an eerily empty American heartland.
