The premise
A girl called Hannah goes back to her hometown (Gatlin) to find her mother but on the way she picks up a strange man who fore-shadows her life with a passage from the bible. When she gets there she wakes up Isaac from a coma he has been in for 19 years. Isaac is awake and wants to fulfil the final prophecy.
Horror Vault's take
Hannah returns to the infamous town of Gatlin seeking answers about her origins, only to disturb something that was better left dormant. The revival of the child preacher Isaac — comatose for nearly two decades — sets a long-delayed prophecy back into deadly motion. Ancient cult forces close in around Hannah as she uncovers unsettling truths about who she really is and why she was drawn back. This sixth entry in the long-running franchise leans into mythology and dread over pure slasher thrills.
