The premise
Scotland Yard is after a homicidal maniac called The Blue Hand, which is what he uses to kill his victims.

A killer known only as The Blue Hand terrorizes victims with a grotesque claw-like weapon, drawing Scotland Yard into a twisting hunt for the truth. Set against a moody Gothic backdrop, the film weaves together murder, mistaken identity, and the question of who — or what — lurks behind the crimes. Klaus Kinski lends his characteristically unsettling screen presence to this West German krimi that blurs the line between mystery and horror. Fans of old-dark-house intrigue will find plenty to savor in its shadowy corridors and mounting dread.
