The premise
The son of the inventor of a matter-transporter, which turned him into a monster when he tried to transport himself along with a tiny housefly, continues to pursue his father's experiment, while his own two sons attempt to extricate him, themselves and the family name from further disaster and scandal.

The shadow of a catastrophic teleportation experiment looms over a new generation, as the son of a disgraced scientist presses forward with the dangerous matter-transport technology that destroyed his father. Hidden away from the world are the grim consequences of past failures — human and otherwise — threatening to unravel everything the family has tried to conceal. Ambition and secrecy collide in this black-and-white British entry in the classic Fly series, where the sins of the father are very much visited upon the sons.
