The premise

A boating accident off the coast of Spain sends Paul and his girlfriend Barbara to the decrepit fishing village of Imboca. As night falls, people start to disappear and things not quite human start to appear. Paul is pursued by the entire town. Running for his life, he uncovers Imboca's secret..they worship Dagon, a monstrous god of the sea...and Dagon's unholy offspring are on the loose...

When a sailing trip turns to disaster, a man and his companion seek refuge in the remote Spanish fishing village of Imboca — a place where the locals are not quite right and the fog seems to swallow any hope of escape. Rooted in H.P. Lovecraft's coastal mythology, the film plunges its protagonist into a waking nightmare of pursuit and discovery as the town's dark devotion to a sea deity closes in around him. Director Stuart Gordon brings his trademark visceral energy to the material, blending European atmosphere with genuine creature-feature dread. What begins as a survival chase slowly reveals something far more personal and deeply disturbing about Imboca's secrets.
