The premise
Ten years after he brutally murdered two girls, a killer escapes from a mental institution and returns to his turf, the theme park attraction called Dark Ride. About to crash his path are a group of college kids on a road trip who stumble across the park.

A carnival dark ride attraction becomes the hunting ground for a deranged killer who has just broken free from a decade of confinement in a mental institution. When a group of college friends on a road trip decides to explore the eerie theme park, they unknowingly walk straight into his domain. What begins as a youthful thrill-seeking detour quickly turns into a desperate struggle for survival inside the twisted corridors of the ride. The setting itself becomes as menacing as the man lurking within it.
