When a young woman inherits a small island off New York, what seems like an unexpected windfall quickly reveals itself to be anything but a gift. The land carries a weight that refuses to stay buried, and the further she digs into its history, the more she realizes some legacies are better left unclaimed. Cut off from the mainland and surrounded by water, the island becomes a pressure cooker of mounting dread and creeping danger.
