The premise

When a bumbling gang of crooks bursts into what looks like a comfortable suburban home seeking refuge, they quickly realize their hostages may be far more dangerous than they are. This New Zealand black comedy gleefully flips the home-invasion genre on its head, pitting criminals against a tight-knit Māori family with very particular appetites. The film blends sharp cultural commentary with outrageous gore and dark laughs, making for a uniquely flavored genre romp.
