The premise

When her husband's sex game goes wrong, Jessie (who is handcuffed to a bed in a remote lake house) faces warped visions, dark secrets and a dire choice.

Stranded and handcuffed to a bed in a secluded lake house with no help in sight, Jessie must fight to survive using only her wits and sheer willpower. As hours stretch into agony, her mind conjures figures and voices that force her to reckon with buried secrets she has long kept hidden. Adapted from Stephen King's novel, this Mike Flanagan film is less about external monsters than the demons we carry inside ourselves — though not everything Jessie sees can be so easily explained away.
