The premise
While holidaying in Ireland, a pregnant children's author finds her mental state becoming increasingly unstable, resulting in paranoia, hallucinations, and visions of a doppelgänger.

A pregnant children's author retreats to the Irish countryside with her husband, only for the peace and quiet to give way to something far more disturbing — voices, visions, and a sinister double who blurs the line between imagination and reality. Robert Altman's psychological chamber piece keeps the viewer perpetually off-balance, unsure whether what unfolds is supernatural threat or the unraveling of a fragile mind. The lush, remote landscape becomes as claustrophobic as it is beautiful, mirroring its protagonist's deteriorating grip on what is real.
