The premise
When Lenore Harker learns that she's pregnant, she leaves graduate school to set up a home with her boyfriend Frank in the country. The happy new family's lives takes a gruesome turn when animals and people end up brutally dead – all with a mysterious connection to their newborn.

A young couple's rural fresh start turns nightmarish after the arrival of their newborn, as a trail of gruesome deaths begins to shadow their seemingly perfect family life. Something is terribly wrong with the baby — and the closer those around it get, the more danger mounts. This remake of the 1974 cult classic transplants the killer-infant concept into a modern setting, leaning into visceral dread over camp. Bijou Phillips anchors the film as a mother whose instincts are tested in the most disturbing ways imaginable.
