Set against the haunted, waterlogged streets of post-Katrina New Orleans, Little Murder follows a disgraced detective whose troubled career takes a strange turn when he finds himself communicating with the ghost of a murder victim. She needs him to uncover the truth behind her death — but the investigation forces him to confront his own demons as much as hers. The city itself looms as a character, its cemeteries and ruined neighborhoods lending the story an air of unease that blurs the line between the living and the dead.
