The premise
Betriek lives at the edge of a peat bog in the North of the Netherlands. When she and her family are attacked by a random stranger one night, Betriek sets out to find an explanation. The more she digs, the more she becomes convinced that she is being hunted by something ancient.

In the misty flatlands of the northern Netherlands, a woman's quiet life beside a peat bog is shattered when her family becomes the target of a seemingly unprovoked attack. Desperate for answers, she begins pulling at threads that lead deep into the region's dark folkloric past. What starts as a search for rational explanation soon blurs into something far older and more terrifying than she could have imagined. Moloch is a slow-burning Dutch folk horror steeped in atmosphere, ancient myth, and creeping dread.
