Tore is a young, devout drifter whose connection to an underground Christian punk scene leads him into the orbit of a deeply troubled family. What begins as an offer of shelter and belonging gradually reveals something far darker lurking beneath the surface of ordinary domestic life. Director Katrin Gebbe crafts a relentlessly uncomfortable portrait of faith pushed to its absolute limits by human cruelty. This is not a horror film with monsters — the terror here is entirely, sickeningly human.
