The premise
A Japanese actress begins having strange visions and experiences after landing a role in a horror film about a real-life murder spree that took place over forty years ago.

When a young actress is cast in a horror film dramatising a horrific mass killing from decades past, she finds that the role reaches far beyond performance — haunting visions begin bleeding into her waking life. The boundary between her own identity and the tragedy she's depicting grows dangerously thin. Director Takashi Shimizu (of Ju-On fame) brings his signature dread to a story that questions whether some histories refuse to stay buried.
