The premise
Having grown sick and tired of his centuries as Dracula's lackey, Renfield finds a new lease on life — and maybe even redemption — when he falls for feisty, perennially angry traffic cop Rebecca Quincy.

After centuries of servitude, Dracula's long-suffering familiar Renfield is desperate to break free from the world's most abusive employer — the Prince of Darkness himself. A chance encounter with a sharp-tongued traffic cop pulls him toward an ordinary life, but escaping a centuries-old vampire lord is never as simple as handing in your notice. Nicolas Cage's gleefully unhinged take on Dracula collides with Nicholas Hoult's lovably hapless Renfield in a film that weaponises slapstick, gore, and self-help satire in equal measure. It's a monster-movie workplace comedy with a genuinely bloody bite.
