When Michael tracks down his old friend Chris — strung out and squatting in a condemned cabin on a Native American reservation — he makes the drastic choice to handcuff him there and ride out a forced week of detox. What begins as a desperate act of friendship quietly curdles into something far stranger, as both men start discovering unsettling recordings and artifacts that suggest their week together is being watched, catalogued, and perhaps even scripted by an unknown presence. Directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead bring a lo-fi, cerebral unease to the California backcountry, threading deadpan character chemistry through genuinely mounting dread. Resolution is the kind of horror film that lingers in the mind long after the credits roll, rewarding patient viewers with ideas that are difficult to shake.
