The premise
Hunter, a newly pregnant housewife, finds herself increasingly compelled to consume dangerous objects. As her husband and his family tighten their control over her life, she must confront the dark secret behind her new obsession.

Trapped in a gilded life that looks perfect from the outside, a young housewife begins secretly swallowing objects that no one could safely consume — a compulsion that grows darker as her pregnancy progresses and her husband's family closes in around her. What begins as a psychologically charged character study gradually peels back the layers of a woman whose inner world has been buried beneath expectations and control. Director Carlo Mirabella-Davis grounds the film in an intimately observed performance that keeps the tension simmering beneath a pristine domestic surface. This is a slow-burn descent into one woman's desperate search for agency over her own body and story.
