The premise
Following the adoption of their longtime babysitter, 16 year old Sophie, Hope begins to suspect her new daughter is hiding a terrible secret that will endanger her family.

When a family opens their home and hearts to Sophie, the teenager they've long trusted as their babysitter, the warmth of adoption quickly gives way to unease. Hope, the new mother, begins noticing things about Sophie that don't quite add up — small wrongnesses that gnaw at her from the inside. What follows is a tightly wound domestic thriller that asks how well we ever truly know the people we invite into our lives. The line between paranoia and genuine danger grows razor-thin as the household's sense of safety begins to erode.
