Horror Vault's take

Set against the frozen Scandinavian wilderness of World War II, this Norwegian horror film follows two German soldiers and their prisoner who seek refuge in a remote house — only to find the shelter harbors something far more threatening than the bitter cold outside. The isolation of wartime creates a pressure-cooker backdrop where distrust between captor and captive is quickly overshadowed by the dread lurking within the walls. Period atmosphere and a stripped-back setting keep the tension simmering as the characters confront a horror that has nothing to do with the front lines.
