The premise
The story of Leon, an antiques collector who inherits a house from his estranged mother only to discover that she had been living in a shrine devoted to a mysterious cult. Soon, Leon comes to suspect that his mother's oppressive spirit still lingers within her home and is using items in the house to contact him with an urgent message.
Horror Vault's take
When antiques dealer Leon inherits his estranged mother's home, he steps into a world far stranger than a simple estate — every room is a monument to a secretive religious cult she devoted her life to. As Leon picks through the accumulated relics and obsessions of a woman he barely knew, the house itself seems to resist his presence. Narrated in a hushed, confessional tone, the film uses its cluttered, shrine-like setting to blur the line between grief and genuine supernatural dread. Whether the threat closing in on Leon is spiritual, psychological, or something older and darker remains the film's most persistent question.
