The premise
An Indigenous teen struggles to support his dysfunctional family as myth, magic, and monsters slowly infiltrate his life.

Set against the backdrop of a tight-knit Indigenous community in British Columbia, Trickster follows a resourceful teenager whose already chaotic home life takes a stranger turn when forces drawn from Haisla mythology begin bleeding into his reality. What starts as a grounded story of a kid just trying to keep his family afloat gradually gives way to something far more ancient and dangerous. The series weaves Indigenous legend and supernatural menace together in a way that feels genuinely distinct from mainstream horror TV, grounding its scares in cultural tradition rather than genre convention.
