Wrestlemaniac2006
“Let the face off begin.”
Directed by Jesse Baget
The premise
On their way to Cabo San Lucas, the cast and crew of a low-budget film get lost and come upon "La Sangre De Dios", a ghost town with a spine-tingling legend about an insane Mexican wrestler. One by one, the cast and crew are snatched, beaten and dragged to a bloody death. The few left alive must figure out how to beat the wrestler at his own deadly game, or die trying.
Horror Vault's take
A scrappy film crew's road trip to Cabo takes a nightmarish detour when they stumble into a desolate Mexican ghost town haunted by something far worse than spirits — a legendary, unhinged luchador with a taste for blood. Trapped with no easy escape, the survivors must dig deep and think fast if they hope to outlast a killer who fights by his own savage rules. Equal parts grindhouse brutality and B-movie bravado, Wrestlemaniac delivers a uniquely outrageous spin on the backwoods slasher formula.
