The premise
Barry is a talented mechanic and family man whose life is torn apart on the eve of a zombie apocalypse. His sister, Brooke, is kidnapped by a sinister team of gas-mask wearing soldiers and experimented on by a psychotic doctor. While Brooke plans her escape Barry goes out on the road to find her and teams up with Benny, a fellow survivor – together they must arm themselves and prepare to battle their way through hordes of flesh-eating monsters in a harsh Australian bushland.

When the dead rise across the Australian outback, a resourceful mechanic named Barry loses everything in a single night and sets out on a desperate cross-country mission to rescue his kidnapped sister Brooke. She's fallen into the hands of a deranged doctor and his masked soldiers, while Barry and a ragtag fellow survivor must improvise weapons and scavenge every resource the unforgiving bush has to offer. Equal parts Mad Max muscle and splatter-soaked zombie carnage, Wyrmwood charges forward at a relentless pace that rarely lets up. It's a distinctly Australian take on the undead that delivers gore and dark laughs in the same blood-soaked breath.
